چکیده

In this study, we report the adsorption process of Congo Red (CR) dye by calcined Layered Double Hydroxide (ZAC) at 550°C. The urea hydrolysis method was applied to produce highly crystalline Zn2Al-LDH. Samples characterisation carried out X-ray diffraction (XRD), Thermogravimetric/differential thermal analysis (TG/DTA), and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). results show that CR on ZnAl-LDH accompanied reconstruction layered structure. ZAC showed higher efficiency versus other adsorbent under investigation optimum conditions contact time, dose, pH temperature were found be 50 min, 0.02 g, 7 318 K, respectively. Isotherm studies Langmuir isotherm model appropriate describe data compared with Freundlich Temkin models, a correlation coefficient (R2 > 0.99) maximum capacity 406.5 mg/g. thermodynamic parameters revealed spontaneous, endothermic, governed chemisorption. To further facilitate recovery in adsorption, test feasibility applying its product 550°C entrapped alginate beads. Experimental indicate alginate-coated beads, which exhibited remarkable performance, more stable require less effort pull separate than alginate/ZnAl-LDH composite

MgCaFe-layered double hydroxide (LDH) for congo red dye removal in aqueous solution

In this work, the ability of the MgCaFe- Layered double hydroxide (LDH) for congo red (CR) dye removal in aqueous solution was investigated. Various parameters such as initial dye concentrations, temperature, adsorbent dosage, pH effect and agitation rate were examined and optimal conditions (10 mgL-1 of the dye concentration, 25 °C of temperature, 0.5 gL-1 of the adsorbent dosage, pH~7 and 450...

Is Congo red an amyloid-specific dye?

Congo red (CR) binding, monitored by characteristic yellow-green birefringence under crossed polarization has been used as a diagnostic test for the presence of amyloid in tissue sections for several decades. This assay is also widely used for the characterization of in vitro amyloid fibrils. In order to probe the structural specificity of Congo red binding to amyloid fibrils we have used an in...

Photocatalytic and adsorption studies on the removal of dye Congo red from wastewater

Many industries such as paper, food, cosmetics, textiles etc. use dye in order to colour their products. The presence of these dyes in water even at very low concentration is highly visible and undesirable. Colour is the first contaminant to be recognised. Photocatalytic technique and adsorption methods offer a good potential to remove colour from wastewater. In the present paper these two meth...

ADSORPTION OF CONGO RED DYE ON HAZELNUT SHELLS AND DEGRADATION WITH Phanerochaete chrysosporium

The present work concerns the experimental evaluation of hazelnut shells as a low cost natural biosorbent. Adsorption of the direct azo dye Congo Red was performed within a concentrations range of 50-5000 mg/L. Hazelnut shells were employed as organic support for Phanerochaete chrysosporium cultures to study the best cultural medium composition for the MnP production. The capability of Phaneroc...
